What is MOLD?
Molds are fungi. Mold grow throughout the natural and man made environment. Tiny spores of mold are present in air - indoors and out. In nature, mold help eat away dead materials and can be found growing in and on building materials, basement crawl spaces, attics, soil, foods, plant matter, and other items. Mold produce microscopic spores which are spread easily through the air. Live spores act like seeds, forming new mold growths (colonies) when they find the right conditions.
If permitted to grow and multiply indoors, health problems can occur and building materials, goods and furnishings may be damaged.
